Tradition
Since we formed back in 2018, Emerge Multimedia, LLC, has been a proud sponsor-partner of the Tryon International Film Festival. Now, for the sixth year we are pleased to continue that tradition of supportive digital marketing with the 9th Annual Festival, October 6th – 8th in 2023.
TRIFF welcomes hundreds of film fans & cinema professionals from around the world to our red-carpet, southern style. Nadine has been working with TRIFF since its first year, 2015, and it has been fun watching our business grow and watching TRIFF grow. Even through the trying times of Covid, TRIFF has been gaining recognition from notable directors, producers, screenwriters, and actors.
“This film festival generates a tremendous amount of spirit in the Town of Tryon,” Co-Founder Beau Menetre said. “We love hosting the festival, and people love to come and come back year after year. For filmmakers and patrons alike, Tryon International Film Festival offers the most-promising films on the horizon in a picture-perfect southern mountain town. You can’t help but enjoy yourself.”
EQUUS PARTNERSHIP
In 2023 EQUUS Television Network (EQTVN) announced a supportive partnership with TRIFF. With a variety of international indie films in ten categories on an assortment of topics, TRIFF is looking to expand its selection of equine films. EQTVN is excited to help with this expansion.
The Town of Tryon has a long-distinguished history of equine sports and lifestyle going back to the 1930’s and before. This spring the Blockhouse Steeplechase Races held its 75th annual event. Tryon hosted the 2018 FEI World Equestrian Games and the Tryon International Equestrian Center continues to attract world class competitors.
Media Arts Education and Career EXPO
2023 will also see a huge expansion of its educational offerings with a Media Arts Education and Career EXPO on Friday, Oct 6th where budding student filmmakers are led through pre-production, production, post-production, funding and distribution processes. The EXPO is followed by two days of exciting classes, presentations and panels by industry professionals, all free to the public.
In keeping with their commitment to education, there is a new special submission category for short 2-min films from local high school and college students, The AWE Project.
The entire Town hosts the TRIFF event, and you can meet professional and student filmmakers from as far away as Nepal at the many planned social and VIP events, at restaurant and gallery venues all around town, or just walking down the street. Come once and you will understand why so many come back year after year and call TRIFF the filmmakers’ film festival.
Emerge Multimedia is honored to be privy to these exciting facets as they unfold and to promote them to the online world. Join us in October for an unforgettable cinematic event!
TRIFF operates under the umbrella of the Polk County Film Initiative (PCFI), a 501(c)(3) organization.
