PEER is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to providing life‑saving large‑animal rescue services throughout Western North Carolina and Upstate South Carolina. Their team works alongside first responders to ensure horses and other large animals receive safe, skilled emergency support — always with a commitment to protecting both animal welfare and human safety. From technical rescues to community education, PEER plays a vital role in safeguarding the equine community that is so deeply woven into our region.
